Who is the most hated person on the internet, Hunter Moore?
Hunter Moore, 36, from California, became known as the “Most Hated Man on the Internet” after he was labeled as such in a Rolling Stone article detailing how he created a revenge porn site titled “Does it?” anyone up?”
A new Netflix documentary will feature Hunter Moore’s victims
Hunter created the site, which allows users to upload explicit and sexual content of people without their consent. Personal information, including names and addresses, was also often released. When people asked to remove the content, Hunter refused, calling himself a “professional life-ruiner.”
The site was launched in 2010 and ran for over a year before it was eventually shut down after 16 months. At the time the site was up, Hunter claimed it was protected by the same laws as Facebook.

Where is Hunter Moore now?
As the documentary will explain, Hunter Moore eventually faced criminal prosecution after an investigation by the FBI. The investigation began after the mother of one of the victims presented evidence.

Charlotte Laws found out that her daughter’s photos were being posted without her permission and immediately began looking, with the help of ex-Marine James McGibney, to take down Hunter’s website. After the site went down, Hunter, in a sudden U-turn, sold his site to an anti-terrorist group.
Three years later, in February 2015, he pleaded guilty to “aggravated identity theft and aiding and abetting unauthorized access to a computer.” By the end of the year, he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison. Hunter was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $145.70 in restitution.
The site was eventually taken down in 2012
Hunter was released from prison in May 2017 and is now keeping a low profile. Netflix’s website states that Hunter initially agreed to participate in their new docuseries., but he later left for unknown reasons. His Wikipedia page also states that he is banned from Facebook.

The synopsis for the three-part series reads: “Features poignant, exclusive interviews with some of the women and men who fought to have their pictures removed, the law enforcement officers who worked on the case, and the crusaders who fought to bring down Moore. this three-part series documents his progress in the hands of the only force more terrifying than an army of Internet trolls; A mother protects her daughter.”
